Aamir Khan Plans Season 2 of Satyamev Jayate

Satyamev Jayate has received a "dream response" from the audience, says Aamir Khan, who is planning a second season for the show which highlights various social issues in each of its episodes.The 13-episode season one has already crossed its halfway mark and the 47-year-old actor is Happy With the impact it has created.
"The change in the society has been evident. We have received a dream response, having empowered ourselves with knowledge. So many things have happened which has made it difficult for our research team to actually find out the actual impact we have created.

"We have got positive reviews and believe that India is changing and we have adapted the show understanding how people want this change," Aamir said in an interaction with the audience at the Big FM studio here.

The show has dealt with a number of hard hitting topics including female foeticide, healthcare scenario in India and domestic violence.

The actor is off to shoot for Dhoom 3 now while his research team is planning to assess the impact created by season one, look at other issues that need to be addressed and come back post September to plan out a possible season two.

Aamir said hosting Satyamev Jayate has brought him closer to the people of his country and the show has been able to touch their lives while addressing various issues.

"I have on a personal level come closer through this initiative to our country. People told me the show would be a failure on social issues, but now people from Kashmir to Kanyakumari are associated with this show and want to see change in our society," he said.

After creating a landmark in the television history, Aamir Khan is planning a second season of his show Satyamev Jayate, which highlights various social issues in each of its episodes. It has received a dream response from the audience, asserts the actor.

The 13-episode season one has already crossed its halfway mark and the 47-year-old actor is happy with the impact it has created. "The change in the society has been evident. We have received a dream response, having empowered ourselves with knowledge. So many things have happened which has made it difficult for our research team to actually find out the actual impact we have created”, Aamir said in an interaction with the audience at a radio station.

Aamir said hosting Satyamev Jayate has brought him closer to the people of his country and the show has been able to touch their lives while addressing various issues. Though he wishes for a season 2 of the show but wants to research fully before executing the plans! He wants his team to figure out the impact season 1 had post which they will move on with season 2.

Well, with Aamir such researches are bound to come as perfection is what stands to be his priority!

Mumbai:  After receiving an over whelming response by the viewers, Aamir Khan may come up with the second season of Satyamev Jayate.

Speaking to a leading radio channel, Aamir said that as soon as he gets free from the shooting of Dhoom 3 and Raj Kumar Hirani ‘PK’, he will start planning for season 2 of the show.

Aamir TV debut Satyamev Jayate has till date received spectacular response form people nationwide. With each episode covering important and sensitive issues prevailing in India, Satyamev Jayate has surely won everybody’s heart.

According to 47 year old actor, first season has already discussed social issues like female foeticide, child abuse, alcoholism, dowry, etc. so for the second season, Aamir and his team will again look for another hard hitting issues in the society after which the actor will come to a drawing board post September.

'Satyamev Jayate' season 2 in pipeline


Mumbai: Aamir Khan's television show Satyamev Jayate has struck the right chord with the viewers and the film star says that he may come up with the second season of the show.
"Right now I have to shoot Dhoom 3 and Rajkumar Hirani's film PK. After completing them, I will come back and take a stock of the situation and then I will decide about the second season of the show," Aamir has been quoted as saying.
The actor was speaking at a radio channel 92.7 Big FM. The 13-part first season has crossed the halfway mark and it has received a spectacular response.
"We have received a dream response... but it has been very difficult for us to review our work. So many things have happened that has made it difficult for our research team to go back to the fields and actually find out the actual impact we have created," he said while interacting with listeners about his show at the radio station.
For the first season, Aamir and his team took two years to do the research work and identify issues affecting common people.
As a starting point for the second season, the team is likely to go back to the roots, assess the impact created by season one, look at other issues that need to be addressed and come back to the drawing board post September to plan a possible season two.
The first season has already dealt with a host of hard-hitting topics like child sex abuse, female foeticide, faulty health care system and domestic violence.
